Anoushka Sunak is a British politician who has been serving as the Member of Parliament for Richmond (Yorks) since the general election in December 2019. She was born in Southampton, England in 1980, and grew up in her father's pharmacy in the Bahamas. She later moved to England to attend Oxford University, where she earned a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics.
Before entering politics, Sunak worked in investment banking and venture capital, and co-founded an investment firm with her husband. She is also a governor of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
As an MP, Sunak has been a staunch advocate for rural communities and small businesses. She has also been appointed as a parliamentary private secretary to Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, and has served on several committees related to finance and agriculture. Additionally, she has spoken out on issues related to mental health, education, and international development.
